An intricate, large brush Chinese character tattoo created with strong black ink. Placed along the backside of the arm, the center brush movements converge in an almost graphic aesthetic. There is a single, fractured ink-brush line running vertically down the entire sleeve. Apart from the character itself the center portion conveys an almost fractal structure with this spacing accentuated through the flow of the watercolor. Although this location on the arm is not often used for calligraphy the spacing required for a single character allows for sufficient room above as well as to the sides of the work for it to be properly viewed. The positioning would be adjusted if more than just the one character was used. It was an absolute pleasure working with you on this composition Ming and congratulations again.
